Bringing YF to Newcastle
Bringing YF to Newcastle
Having a strong base knowledge is critical for increasing your confidence and encouraging you to pursue a career in the creative and technology industries. As such, we've partnered with some leading large companies, as well as many key players in the UK technology sector, to develop a curriculum of what they think you should know. Experts from every different field have come together to create a bed of content that is unrivalled. For example, KPMG have developed a module on accounting, Salesforce on how to nail the sales process and ustwo on product development.
We want to equip you with the skills, knowledge and inspiration to succeed. Delivery of this is based on three core components: seminars from founders/investors/specialists, inspiration from an incredible set of mentors and a creative space in which our cohort can share and iterate on ideas.
Our Base: Campus North
Campus North is a hive of great minds, innovation and action. With over 150 founders, designers, and developers working in the space, the environment is one of collaboration and creativity. It's a place for people to get inspired, work together and grow. Campus North residents are small teams with big visions - the next generation of technology founders and entrepreneurs.
Campus North fosters and supports the community by providing workspace, offering events and supporting education initiatives just like Young Founders. The hub was set up by Ignite, one of the leading accelerator programmes in the UK. Their Newcastle focus, and success, has demonstrated the technical strength of the North and provides an exciting context for the regions regeneration.
The Newcastle programme, amongst the normal programme schedule, will have an included day trip to Edinburgh. The trip, kindly supported by our friends at Mallzee, will involve meeting key players within Edinburgh's growing startup scene. We'll also be sending you out into the startups themselves to work with core teams on solving real-world problems that the companies face.
